Scott Mountain Homeowners Association
Meeting Minutes – 9.1.2020
 
Location:  Virtual meeting 

Board Members Present:
  Neil Gavrich, Steve Schroeder, Dennis Shaffer, Josh Gavrich, Khristina Powell, Jonathan Chapman

Board Members Absent:
  David Nachand, Mike Brumbach, Thomas Spathas

Homeowners Present:
Jessica and Marlon Gonzales

Guests:
Eli Elder (representing the Reyes household)

Call to Order:
 7:00pm by President, Neil Gavrich

Approval of Meeting Minutes:
Board Meeting July 7th, 2020
A motion was made by Neil Gavrich to approve the July 2020 meeting minutes, all board members present approved.

Homeowners Concerns:
  • Eli (architect) presented changes to the project for the Reyes house (93rd Ct).
    • Master bedroom addition above the garage
    • Raise roof to 23 ft height to accommodate
    • Concrete deck off back of the house
    • Deck on the roof (above master addition)
    • Glass guardrails
    • Construction to begin likely next year

BOARD OFFICERS/COMMITTEE REPORTS

President:
Neil Gavrich
  • Regarding the reported covenants violations on 100th Dr. Mike will send a letter outlining actions for the homeowners.
  • Reports of racoons in the neighborhood, being fed by someone. Recommended that we put something in the newsletter to not feed the wildlife as it becomes a nuisance for the whole neighborhood.
  • Regarding the bees issue that had come up via email, Neil to reach out and see if the member had a resolution at all working with the county.
  • Regarding East woods trail maintenance – intend to have Maximo quote work that needs to be done and a few items that the board can work on as well (brush trimming and removing dead trees).

Vice President:
Khristina Powell
  • Regarding the fall newsletter, needing folks to start preparing for articles.

Treasurer:
John Chapman
  • Discussion about back dues for annual assessment fees. Sent letter to applicable homeowners about potential of fines.
  • Discussion about dead tree removal on 100th Dr. Recommend letter be sent requiring prompt removal and notifying homeowner of potential liability.

Secretary:
Josh Gavrich

Architectural:
Dennis Shaffer
  • Regarding the car port that was denied on Stevens Way, no response from homeowner after denial. Josh to follow up and see current state.

Safety: 
Steve Schroeder
  • Discussion about dead tree removal on 98th Ct he had seen recently.

Adjournment:
Meeting adjourned by Neil Gavrich with consent of all present at 7:40pm (meeting short due to virtual meeting time limitation)

​Next Regular Board Meeting:
 October 6th, 2020 7:00PM, likely to be held virtually due to Covid-19. Normal meetings at the Fire Station to be conducted the first Tuesday of the month that follows, except in August and December when there will be no meeting.
