Meeting Minutes – 11.1.2022

Approval of Meeting Minutes: Board Meeting October 4th, 2022
Meeting minutes of October voted on. All board members present approved minutes with exception of spelling of treasurers name.
Homeowners Concerns / Open Forum:
- Rainwater drains responsibility
- Does the landscaping company clear the drains? Frequent enough during wet season?
- Should homeowners be assisting in the upkeep?
- Landscaping company does clear drains near paths, but homeowners need to be involved in clearing drains near their property as well.
- Khristina has put in her request to leave the board [2 years remaining on her term]
- Note that 4 members nominated in board member section below, Josh nominated to take Khristina’s term [2 more years]
- Tree [and sign] damage on 99th and Idleman
- Damage from vehicle, working with Sheriffs office for more information
- Kevin working with clay’s tree service to notify driver of potential liability

BOARD OFFICERS/COMMITTEE REPORTS
President: Neil Gavrich
- Private property signs in woods replacement
- Metal signs quoted at $67/ea with a 2 week lead time
- Recommended for all entrances
- SMHOA signs [one was wrecked by vehicle]
- John had quote by FastSigns for ~$3,100/ea to replace with a more weather resistant aluminum sign
- Concerns about reflectivity of the signs brought up
- Colors and design to mimic old signs

- Stop signs on 99th drive
- Signs with motion activation would cost ~$2k-$3k for sign [4 are needed]
- Amy Malone brought up concern about sign on 99th/100th on the north end
- Question from homeowners: Does HOA need to pay for the signs?
- Yes, city would not pay for them
- Reporting issues to sheriff from more people would get more notice and possible intervention

BOARD MEMBER ELECTIONS
- Neil, Josh and Michael 3 year terms expiring
- Discussion about board positions, time commitments and process of officer elections in the new year
- Homeowners present who desired to be potential nominees discussed their background in the neighborhood and why they think they might be a good fit for the board

Next Regular Board Meeting: January 3rd, 2023 7:00PM, to be held in person at Monarch Hotel. Normal meetings at the Fire Station to be conducted the first Tuesday of the month, except in August and December when there will be no meeting.
